Update on Petrol Prices in Pakistan as of 16th August 2023

Significant Increase in Petrol Prices Announced by Caretaker Government in Pakistan Starting from August 16, 2023, until August 31, 2023, the caretaker government has decided to increase the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD). Petrol and Diesel Prices Surge in Pakistan
The latest announcement reveals that the price of petrol in Pakistan has risen by Rs. 17.50 per liter, while the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has increased by Rs. 20.00 per liter. This means that the new petrol cost in Pakistan is now Rs. 290.45 per liter, and the price of High-Speed Diesel has surged to Rs. 293.40 per liter. Note that the Finance Minister has kept the price of Kerosene Oil and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) unchanged.

New Diesel and Petrol Prices Effective from 16 August 2023 in Pakistan
Starting today, 16 August 2023, Pakistan’s latest diesel and petrol prices are now in effect for the second half of the month. The Finance Division released a notification stating that petroleum prices in the global market have risen over the past two weeks, necessitating a revision in consumer prices in Pakistan. Petrol Prices in Pakistan 16 August 2023
During the previous review, the PMD-led Federal Government raised the price of petrol by Rs. 19.95 per liter and increased High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs. 19.90 per liter. As a result, both commodities now cost Rs. 272.95 per liter and 273.40 per liter, respectively.
